I was a Wellington rugby representative in 1987 and 1989 and I continue to support the game at a local level and nationally. I sponsor a local age grade team every year.

I also act as a Citing Commissioner for the New Zealand Rugby Union for the ITM National Provincial Rugby Competition and Sevens tournaments.

I support the Hutt Valley Women's Refuge and I have assisted with their volunteer training and governance issues.
